Gavin Malouf

Gavin graduated from the University of Sydney in 1992. After progression through the APA sports training program he attained the qualification of APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist in 2001.

Gavin worked as a Head Physiotherapist in professional rugby union for 20 years, holding senior positions with the ACT Brumbies, Connacht RFU, Australian and Irish rugby teams. Gavin is an enthusiastic clinical educator having supervised numerous physiotherapy students both here in Australia and Ireland. He has recently returned from Ireland where he worked with leading rehabilitation specialists and orthopaedic surgeons in the UK.

He is highly experienced in treatment and rehabilitation of elite level athletes in particular, knee, shoulder and groin conditions.

Now in Gungahlin

We are very excited to announce that as of Tuesday 8 August our Principal Physiotherapist, Gavin, will be available for appointments at YourGP @ Crace. Gavin will be taking appointments Tuesday and Thursday between 8am – 6pm.

Rest assured to our Kingston regulars, Gavin will still be taking appointments at Kingston on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am – 6pm.

Rob Taylor

M.Physiotherapy, B.Medical Science

Rob completed his Masters of Physiotherapy in 2008 from University of Canberra after completing a bachelor degree in Medical Science at Australian National University.

Rob has worked extensively with elite swimmers and kayakers on the Gold Coast as part of the AIS satellite squads. During that time, he worked on high end rehabilitation of complex shoulder injuries. Rob has also a keen interest in rugby injuries having previously worked with the rugby seven’s Australian tournament, Eagles rugby club, touch football QLD and NSW and currently with East’s rugby club in Canberra.

Rob currently provides hands on treatment and assessment of Canberra Powerlifting, weight lifting and Strongman community. Rob has a particular interest in diagnosis and treatment of anterior hip pain and interrelationship with low back and pelvic pain.

Rob’s approach to treatment is that of a manual sports physiotherapist with a strong focus on rehabilitation of the individual with personalised strength and control programs.

Bradley Moore

Physiotherapy, B. Science

Brad recently completed his Physiotherapy degree at the University of Canberra after completing a Bachelor of Science at Macquarie University.

Brad enjoys treating a variety of clientele and is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients using a caring and holistic approach. Brad has a special interest in sports injuries, in particular, the treatment and rehabilitation of knee and ankle injuries.

Brad has played soccer at an elite level, representing the Central Coast Mariners and Sydney FC. He has extensive experience with high performance athletes and the rehabilitation of ACL injuries for return to that level of sport.

Zoia Rusanov

Diploma Remedial Massage

Zoia completed her Advanced Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy in 2014. She has worked in various clinical settings since then and has established a loyal following through her professional expertise. She has experience working with competitive swimmers and triathletes.

Zoia uses a wide range of techniques including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, cupping, passive tissue tension and PNF stretching to attain the best possible results for her clients. Zoia is passionate about helping people and has a keen interest in treating clients with neck pain and discomfort, headaches and migraines, lower back pain and discomfort, postural tension and stress relief.

Mitchell Ward

B. Physiotherapy

Mitch completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Canberra. Mitch is committed to upholding the high level of professionalism at Canberra Sports Physiotherapy and Rehab and providing all clientele with high quality care, treatment and training. Mitch enjoys treating a variety of clientele, however is particularly interested in athletes and has a special interest in knee, ankle and shoulder injuries.

Mitch has a keen interest in a variety of sports, particularly rugby union, in which he plays for the Gungahlin Eagles and is the current club captain. He has represented the ACT at rugby in various levels. Throughout his degree, Mitch has worked with a number of different teams including Woden Weston FC, Gungahlin Eagles, Brumbies Junior Teams, Canberra United Academy and North Canberra Futsal.

Alice Churchill

B. Physiotherapy Honours
Turner and Kingston

Alice completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) degree at the University of Canberra. Alice is passionate about providing the best quality of care to patients through evidence-based practice and patient-centred care. Alice completed an honours thesis investigating how body morphology influences how the knee joint moves. She has a keen interest in sports injuries and prevention, in particular knee injuries, and orthopaedic rehabilitation.

Alice is a keen sportswoman, having played competitive team sports her whole life and representing the ACT in both soccer and futsal. Alice currently plays for Canberra FC in the Women’s Premier League and has captained the club for the last 3 years. Alice also plays futsal in the Women’s Premier League with North Canberra Untouchables Futsal Club. Throughout her degree she has worked with some of the junior Canberra FC women’s teams.
